What is Roullete?

Roullete is a classic game of chance, involving the spinning of a wheel. It consists of a wheel divided into 38 segments, and a metal ball is spun inside. The ball lands in one of these segments, and the color of the segment determines the outcome of the game. Among the 38 segments, two are green, and half are red or black. The balance of the wheel affects the outcome of each spin.

Origins

There are a number of different theories on the origins of the roulette game. However, one thing is certain: it was invented in 1655 in France. Blaise Pascal, a famous mathematician, was working on a perpetual motion devise and came up with the idea of a roulette wheel. The game’s design was a combination of the English wheel games and the Italian board games Hoca and Biribi. The original roulette wheel featured numbers one through 36 and a double 00.

Bets

A roulette game involves placing bets on the numbers on the wheel. There are two basic types of bets: red/black and even/odd. The European version of roulette has a smaller house edge than American Roulette. There are also specific rules for betting in French Roulette. For example, in French Roulette, you can place bets on a single green pocket instead of a double green pocket.
