Sucks

I am sorry but this whole security model for Developers working locally really sucks. Why do I have to go to a settings page on Adobe’s site to configure my player’s local settings anyways? You would think that if developers had the Debug Player installed we wouldn’t be subjected to this kind of jumping through hoops when testing things locally. Just felt like ranting a little. Anyone else feel the same?

    Yes. It does suck.

Not only is it ridiculous, but on one machine I had to uninstall and reinstall the flash plugin several times in order for it to allowScriptAccess locally. For some reason I could put the location as safe in the flash panel, but it would then block the location completely.

Dude I spent the last three days trying to figure out why none of my xml would load in the Flash 10 player. Thanks for the rant…saved me from any more frustration due to that ‘Suckurity’ Settings panel.
