Learning AS 3 from Java

A Java developer who I work with at MLB is now learning AS 3 and has posted an interesting article on his first take on AS 3 vs Java. Take a look here.
We will be working together to develop a new video player from preexisting AS 1/2 version over to AS 3. The goal is to create a video player that can be deployed to any page on our sites as well as to create a seamless Flash/JS API so the JSP developers can control the player similar to this mp3 player I developed for our entertainment sites1.
I am sure he will be blogging about his adventures on the dark side of the web so keep checking back in.
